Museum of International Folk Art

Set in the foothills of the spectacular Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this museum has gained national and international recognition as the home of the world’s largest collection of folk art from around the globe. The assortment of more than 135,000 artifacts forms the basis for exhibitions in three distinct wings, many donated by the late Architect and Philanthropist Alexander Girard, who contributed his immense collection in 1980.
