Museum of Spanish Colonial Art

This museum showcases a collection of Spanish art that spans five continents and four centuries and is dedicated to the preservation of all Spanish Colonial art. The museum is housed in a building that was designed by the late, acclaimed Architect John Gaw Meem and is an excellent example of the “Spanish Colonial” architectural style that Meem preserved and fostered in New Mexico. The 5,000-square-foot building, and its surrounding 2.6 acres, were generously donated to the Spanish Colonial Arts Society back in 1998 by anonymous patrons.
